I haven't posted in here in a long long time, but I used to be a regular a few years ago. Some of you may remember me and my Veiled Lucutis, but I'm sure I'll be a stranger to most.

Well, my little buddy, Lucutis the Veiled Chameleon passed on last night. He wasn't doing so good this past month, and I knew his time was coming fast. Last night he was laying on the bottom and didn't have the strength to climb or even keep himself upright, so I knew it was time to put him down instead of letting him suffer. I've put down reptiles before (usually just a baby snake that doesn't have a chance anyway), but this was by far the absolute hardest one for me. He almost made it to his 5th birthday, and he was absolutely gorgeous in his prime. He was just the tiniest little thing when I first got him.

I'm really going to miss this guy, and I don't think I'll be able to get another Chameleon for quite a while. He really had a special place in my heart.

RIP Lucutis.
