There are NO MORE Fl Panthers because USFWS released 8 Texas Cougars in the Big Cypress in 1999 to enhance the genetic diversification of the endemic Puma c. coreyi. Therefore the Florida Panther in it's pure form NO longer exist in the wild or captivity for that matter. This was NOT a private collector's mistaken release but deliberate.
