I had to have one of Philbyi females operated on last year spring also. She started laying eggs that were incredibly huge and stopped after 3 but still had 11 inside. The surgery ended up being around $700 and by the time the surgery was done the rest of the eggs were bad. We also tried several oxytocin injections before the surgery but no luck either.

She had some healing issues after the surgery but she is great now and fat as hell again. She is one of my pets and has her own tank. She has now decided she doesn't like any other Uros since her surgery though.

The real key is to get her to the vet if she seems to be having issues. Also check and make sure the vet you are going to has done other surgeries on lizards.

Here is a photo of her staples at the time.
