Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here knows of any breeders of Hermanns Tortoises that are "visitable" in Florida. I want to get a "friend" for my female Hermanns, Cocoa. I lost my male last summer. It sounds really stupid but she hasnt been the same since he has been gone and it looks like she "misses" him. (I know, anthropomorphising(sp?)

In any case, I think I want to get another female as the male pestered her a lot and she doesnt really need that. (she had egg laying issues some years ago and hasnt produced them since). I am not all that interested in breeding...

Anyway, I got her from the Abbotts (Central Florida Reptile Farm) in Cocoa, Florida in 1996 as a hatchling. (got my male there too as an adult) I know Mrs. Abbott passed away last year and I dont think her husband is doing it any more. I enjoyed going to pick one out at the breeder and wondered if there are any that you can visit nowadays.

Thank you,
Carole
