It is that environment that makes them such hardy pets. SInce they live in the desert, they don't need misting. They are nocturnal-- they don't need special light other than the normal day/night cycle. 'Stocking up' on mealworms means keeping an extra 15-20 out so they can be added.. This would need to be done if someone would be watching him anyway.
