Very well said. It's good to see that there's another person bumming around with the same passion for these animals that I have. I agree with you that a well-fed, well-kep coachwhip isn't a bone thin animal like some of the captives that you see. Some of the coachwhips I've seen and kept almost remind me of an indigo in girth when fed and kept properly. I'd like to add one of the most important things to remember when keeping racers or coachwhips is a large, undisturbed hide. Mine also like substrate deep enough to bury into, without either they tend to turn into frustrated cage romers. Mine quite often will sit outside their hides with just their heads sticking out, then come out when I enter my snake room and follow me around the room, especially if they're hungry. Coachwhips are truly my favorite snake to keep, probably the most rewarding captive I know of if kept properly.
