I have on them on damp newspaper with rocks and large flat pieces of bark to walk and climb over. Their enclosure is a "under the bed" storage plastic bin. They outgrew their sweater box. I used to use a potting soil sand mix but it made them dirty and got smelly quick. They have a 75 watt bulb with a basking spot of 85 - 90 degrees.
