Hello everyone. I have been keeping reptiles for 30 years, mostly monitors and tortoises and occasional snakes at some times. Had the big burms in the past but recently attended a reptile show and thought time to give a retic a try. Picked up a baby about 2.5 feet, held it for 10 minutes, didnt crap or bite me so figured this is a good one! I have not bothered her at all so she can adjust but not real aggressive when it comes to eating. Very curious, always comes out of her hide (cork bark) to check things out and will shoot over to the prekilled frozen mouse but then just isnt interested in eating. She did eat the first day I got her then again after several tries and days later took another but just doesnt seem to interested in food at this time. No signs of shedding either so that couldnt be affecting her appetit. I would think after 3 weeks she would be settled in and ready to start eating regularly. Anyone dealt with this before. Cage is around 75 in the cool area and upper 80's under the flood light.
