I mix up the diet for mine.
We get meat from a local grocer. They give us the meat once it gets past date for sale. I always give it to em bone and all. They all seem to prefer chicken, for some reason, but will eagerly take red meat and fish. I started, years ago, using a line/pulley system. I want them to have to work for their food and get some exercise. I simply run cable over thier ponds with the food items hangin down and make them work for it. They actually get really motivated once they see the line moving and go straight into the ponds.
