Should I build a leo rack?

New to leos, wondering if it would be okay to build them a tub rack or do they need heat lamps?
I get mized answear about heat mats, heat lamps etc. Just wondering if a standard tub rack would be okay to house leos in? Thanks, and if so side heat or belly heat? Thanks so much! I'm the snake person, bfs the lizard guy lol Thanks
