I don't put baby boxies outside until they are three or four years old. I will put them out for a few hours of sun in the summer, but always take them back in. I keep babies in a planted vivarium with lots of moss or leaf litter on one side for them to dig under, and a water dish on the other side. Plenty of plants to hold in the humidity and hide under. I'm in NY and it's still in the 50's here too. I won't put them out for even a few hours until the temp. remains in the high 70's, at least. This is what I do....everyone does things differently. I have three toeds and easterns. In order for them to digest their food they have to have warm temp.s.
