she doesnt need a heat pad. or even nightime heat, she can take a lot colder temps than you can. in fact a night time temp drop is considered good. but she does need a regular incandescent house bulb of about 40-60 watts. for uva basking at the top of the cage at a temp of about 90* she also needs a lineal (long straight tube, not the folded cfl)reptisun 5.0 for uvb and absortion of calcium and d3 she also will not survive long term of of a diet of just crickets, she should have at least 3 different types of feeders every week. chams go to the floor for different reasons , she could be going to hunt or she could be going for the heat, but going to the floor is often a sign of something more serious, what kind of lighting do you have, what are your basking temps do you use a dripper, what is your suppplementation schedule, your supplementation schedule should be similar to this calcium withoutd3,3-4x a week, calcium with d3 1x every 1-2 weeks and a multivitamin with proformed vitaminA (like herptivite not reptivite) 1x a month varying too far from that routine, will probably lead to problems and failure to leartn your chameleons care requirements will certainly lead to problems. http://www.chameleonforums.com/basic-husbandry-38769/ jmo
