Please dont think Im nuts but here we go. I have a group that I thought was 2.2. When I put "female" #1 with male #1 they appeared to warm up to each other nicely, tales hooked. So I then take the male and put him with what I assume is a female (#2) and they exhibit the same behavior. I separate everyone and all should be breed. But I start to second guess myself and I have another male that I wasnt going to breed but he will breed anything. So I thought hey just to make sure I am going to put him with female #1 and they instantly start to challenge for dominance (big time). I separate and scratch my head. I then take that male and put him with "male #1". NO combat and the 2nd male is all over him(or her). Spurs going crazy and the other snake is kind of trying to get away but no aggression. Are my males females and females males or will a male sometimes submit to a more dominant male. These animals were sexed as adults so it is very possible they are wrong. My female #2 and supposed male #1 are now in shed wich is about 2-3 weeks past any copulation. Sorry for the long post but I am a bit perplexed.
