I have more experience with beadeds then I do gilas. My gilas will allow you to handle them but they will also bite. In my experience Beadeds are much calmer. It's also nice knowing that a beaded can't whip around like a gila can. I like the larger size of the beadeds. I also notice that beadeds will put up more of a threat display while gilas are quick to bite. For example I reach in bare handed into the beaded enclosure. I know what to expect, everytime it's a head bop upward. After that I can grab the animal and handle it no problems, usually with little fuss. They are venomous and you still must be careful. If the animals ever do grab me I'll be in a world of hurt, which is just a risk I'm willing to take. They are not venomous snakes which I also keep.
