I'm not one for playing ostrich and sticking my head in the sand, but this spill is so devastating that I can't even watch the news. It's such a feeling of helpless as a native Floridian to watch our wildlife suffer a true disaster. My teens and I are waiting to see if a volunteer opportunity awaits us. Hopefully we will still enjoy the Keys as we do each summer, boating, exploring, kayaking, and snorkeling the reefs.
