I am curious why you can only get one picture which was taken at an angle and with the tail not showing? If you are a buyer looking at the animal, that fact alone would make me suspicious that the person who sent you the photo is trying to hide something.

That being said, it looks like a probable male to me from everything I can see: a hint of plastral concavity, plus the tail looks wide at base.
