SUPPORT SB 373 & HR 2811-BAN MONSTROUS SIZED SNAKES TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY
Your Honor:

Please support and co-sponsor SB 373 & HR 2811-BAN MONSTROUS SIZED SNAKES TO PROTECT ENVIRONMENT & HUMAN SAFETY ACT.

MONSTROUS SNAKES STIMULATES UNNATURAL PSYCHOPATHIC SEXUAL URGES: Individuals who own monstrous sized reptiles often have "crush kitten/crush puppy" sexual fetishes which they will trap live stray cats (epidemic across America) and use them as snake food - if they can throw goats and bunnies to their snakes, there is nothing stopping them from using this "free food". They watch the poor cats scream in terror then the snake constricts the companion pet, and squeezes it to death. These snake owners masturbate while watching this.

MONSTROUS SNAKES DESTROY OUR ENVIRONMENT AND COSTS BILLIONS TO CONTROL:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/unleashed/2010/01/federal-officials-move-to-ban-imports-of-nine-species-of-constrictor-snake.html

"In 2009, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Inspectors at Kennedy handled more than 27,000 wildlife shipments valued at more than $1 billion, or 16% of all U.S. wildlife imports. Last year, 54,000 live reptiles entered through the New York airport. The proposed ban covers nine species of giant constrictor snakes including the Burmese, North African and South African pythons, the boa constrictor, and the anaconda - green, yellow and Bolivian, as listed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. About 1 million such snakes have been imported in the last 30 years and more have been bred domestically."

An example of what monstrous sized snakes do: A pet Burmese python broke out of a glass cage late 2009 and killed a 2-year-old girl in her Florida bedroom. The girl's skull was CRUSHED so the snake could swallow her. The tragedy became the latest and most graphic example of a problem that has plagued the state for more than a decade: a nonnative species that is wreaking havoc in the Everglades, threatening people, the environment and native wildlife.

"It's just a matter of time before one of these snakes gets to a visitor in the Florida Everglades," said Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.

These snakes often reach weights over 200 - 300 pounds, and capable of eating cats, dogs, even goats. CRAIGSLIST provides unlimited supplies of snake food via "free to good home" cats and dogs, which many snake handlers will adopt to feed to their snake as the cost of goats and pigs are quite expensive (if they are capable of feeding a cold blooded reptile a goat or pig, they can easily feed their snake free to good home cats and dogs). Since dogs and cats cannot talk, this is rarely if ever reported as most "free to good home" cats and dogs are not checked on once "adopted". They simply become SNAKE FOOD.

Many People breed these snake UNDER THE TABLE to avoid cost of license, and sell them on Craigslist or simply ON THE INTERNET and blogs; when they reach huge sizes people can't cope with them and many are simply released into the wild where they make meals out of dogs, cats, endangered wildlife, and children.

Banning all monstrous sized snakes is the only solution to this terrible problem.
