Posted by: piglet at Mon May 10 18:38:17 2010 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by piglet ] I've seen a few in South Carolina.The first one had emerged from hibernation and was near the hole in the ground.A few days later I went back and he was in the same place dead.I also found two others in the same area that appear to have died during the winter.It was unusually wet and cold this year and looks like it may have taken a toll on the boxies.I've also spotted a few live adult boxies that were light but otherwise seemed Okay,and a pair breeding a week ago.Luckily all of mine made it through hibernation OK [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
