As crested geckos don't eat the plants themselves, most should be fine. To be on the safe side..use the 'safe plant' list found at the site below: Also, you want to consider the needs of the plant as well..when choosing plants for a vivarium. They must be able to deal with temperate temperatures (since crested geckos don't like it above 80F), have broad sturdy leaves and stems as your gecko will climb over everything, and handle low light conditions. You don't want a sun loving plant in a heavily planted vivarium with only low levels of light...



Another good idea is to do a google search on vivariums...many have plant lists that do well depending on the environment you want to create. Keep in mind Crested geckos are temperate zone animals with humidity around the 60-80% mark on average. You don't want to steam them in a rainforest type vivarium which is more idea for say, dart frogs.

Pothos is also a good plant to use. Keep in mind that any store bought plant needs to be rinsed and repotted and allowed to sit for several weeks to ensure any pesticides and other chemicals leech out of the plant. For broad leaf plants it would be a good idea to gently wash the leaves with a mild solution of dish soap and water to remove any sprayed on poisons/fertilizers. Rinse off the leaves with a gentle spray then repot.
