My opinion after keeping many rosies is this: the young can be kept together just fine but watch then at feeding time, as some are zealous and may strike at anything that moves (like another rosy crawling by). Adults seem to really appreciate solitude, moreso than many other snakes like milks and kings, which can be quite gregarious when given the choice.

I have housed adults together, and I never saw the same kind of bonding that I've seen with milksnakes or kingsnakes for example. Although I cannot know for sure what goes on in a rosy's pea-brain, the adults seem to NOT seek out one another's company other than for breeding or maybe to share a really nice basking area. That is my guess anyway. You can experiment for yourself.
