A friend of mine uses the long tension rods (not sure it that is correct term)at each corner of the shelves. These are adjustable, so its easier to get the "slide" factor correct with each shelf by adjusting the bolts on the tension rods at each corner. I am going to try this method for my next rack. Never thought about sanding down the nubs on the boxes to help though. Good idea!!! I have a couple of "store bought" racks that I paid twice as much for as my homemade racks and they only hold half as many boxes.
