About a year ago, I was in the process of moving apartments, and I had all of my turtles on my patio, in a plastic pond. It rained for about 10 hours and the thing filled up. Some people were helping me throughout the course of the day to dump water out, but I was at work, and it was hard. The turtle got out was lost for good. We looked everywhere and there was no sign. He was right at 4 inches and beautiful. He was one of the only turtles I got from a store because his species is a rare one to see in a reptile shop (i think). My question is this, do think its possible he found a way to survive? I live in Houston, Tx. There are lakes nearby, but mopre than likely I think he fell into a sewer system eventually.
