I dont know if this will help, but Ive found having a big cage puts mine at ease. She's so curious she followed a large mouse around the tank. I'm going to try having dragonfly larvae or small crayfish crawl in front of her.

PS- If you are going to try force-feeding do NOT use hard-shelled invertebrates. Use minnows or rosy reds.
