I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of pushups. The pushups can be more of a territorial thing than a mating ritual. I have a couple males that will do pushups at me, regardless of wether or not there is a female chuck around. Also, we have been breeding chucks for years, and don't always witness breeding behavior in our producing animals. We usually just keep them together, have faith, and watch for egg bulges and nesting behavior. Some chucks can be very secretive breeders.
