Well after a few worried days of intense observation, I'm happy to say my gravid gila is doing well. The slug she passed seemed to be two follicles attached in a "twin egg". It was massive and seemed to be developing well before it died. I'm actually glad it didn't develop fully. My girl seems more comfortable and a bit more active since shes passed the slug. I can see a telltale shape of a sack of marbles along the contours of her stomach so I'm still excited. Looking back I've had a few snakes pass slugs
mid-gestation and lay healthy even large clutches later.
35 days in tomorrow changing her to damp long spagnum and restricting her maximum high temps.

My pregnant Rio is doing awesome for me! She seems less maintanance than my preggo gila. This lizards ate medium rats weekly n grown longer n larger throughout the pregnancy despite an obvious sack of eggs developing. I have noticed her attitudes extremly aggressive. She just exploded in a really strange thick almost solid shed so hopefully in a week or two I'll be posting pics of eggs n bragging....Incubators are set at 78 and stable....Fingers crossed
