hello everyone, im chris! i have a male mali uromastyx and i wanted to tell you a bit about him, his name is drew and he is about 2 y/o. he is starting to grow and is eating very well, i got him 8/03/2009 and he was 7" he is now 10" and has been shedding since coming out of brumation in march( i think this is his 3rd shed now) i dont know how much he weighs but he is definately heavy(well heavier than he was when i got him)! i feed him collard, turnip, mustard, swiss chard, bok choy & dandelions greens in addition to spring mix salad w/o spinach, i give him shredded acorn, butternut, summer, zuchinni, chayote, and spaghetti squash, parsnip, cactus pads, carrots, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, red peppers(not sure what kind they are i tend to always forget lol but they are long and sweet tasting), dadelion flowers, hibiscus flowers, papaya, apples and from time to time some iguana pellts sprinkled on top he also gets a seperate bowl with lentils and split peas that he tends to frequent though out the day, i supplement his food 2x a month with reptocal and reptovites! he is currently in a 3x18"x12" plastic tub until his permanent enclosure is finished which will be 4x3x2, current temps are basking=127*, ambient warm side= 98* and cool side 87* these were the r=temps i got 3 wks ago but i no longer have my temp gun so m guessing they are still in that range, i will be getting a new one asap! he is very tame and will hop into my hand if i put it in there and seem to like getting his neck scratched from time to time especially durin sheds! well thanks for reading!
