Posted by: gothic5 at Fri Jun 4 10:43:16 2010 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by gothic5 ] I have the temperature set to 81.I noticed she does do this after a poop and now thats the first thing I do is check when I see this.I use eco-earth coconut fiber as a substrate. Some people have told me they don't use substrates and a radiant heat panel over the water dish will create humidity. But what about in the summer when the panel might not be hot?My T-10 also has side vents. But I have been using the coconut fiber.I clean as best as I can after a poop. After a short time the fiber loses its earthy smell.I test the smell daily and can't be sure if it contains urine.Cleaning the cage and changing the substrates and cleaning the glass is a big job.I also usually soak the cage bottom in an inch of water and bleach while wiping the interior.I sit there with a large sponge draining the water after.I do this about every 3 weeks.Maybe I'll use half a brick of eco-earth to reduce the cleaning.Bloods are very nice snakes but they sure require a lot of maintenance-Harold [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
