Hey, thanks for the response.

I didn't actually do the treatment for the parasites, the guy I got them from did...but, that was last year...like, last March I believe, so doubt that had anything to do with it.

As far as the water/size of the snake. The one that died was about 5.5-6ft long, and was in no more than an inch of water. I'm leary about too much water because I don't want to drown anything! Didn't leave him in there for longer than 30-45 minutes tops. Water was warm, I'd say 80 degrees. (been working with tropical fish for 8 years, and this water was only a bit warmer than how I kept my saltwater tanks.)

Had just soaked my burm in there the week before, but had already rinsed it out with uber hot water a couple days prior to the event. My point in saying that is that I don't think it had anything to do with the container. The ONLY variable was that rock, and the more I think about it, you know, the rock was outside. It could've just been a little bit of gas for the lawnmower or weedeater that dripped on it that could've leached out in to the water. I just dont know at this point. But it shook me up a little bit to have a snake trying to eat me because I woke it up, be dead within an hour.
