A friend of mine came down from Kansas and wanted to go out to look for Indigo snakes and Reticulate Collared Lizards (Crotaphytus reticulatus) today.

You scooped me on this one! I have a lot of pics from the past week but I'm heading out the door again for another week so I'll have to wait to post until then.

My pics turned out almost exactly the same as this one, but I also have some where he's not gaping.

In the meantim, here's the female from the lower valley I found three years ago.
