Yeah, more like his brother was going after it, and the snake was only trying to protect itself from the all-too-common buisiness end of the shovel there!.......JEEEEEZ!!!!

BTW, great "victory" pose there with the shovel. You should have kneeled down next to it like they do with large carnivores when they are needlessly shot for no reason.

Now on a serious note here to the original poster, would you please do all the wildlife near you a favor, and learn what the only four groups of venomous snakes really look like?. And even those shouldn't be killed, just left alone or moved by someone who knows a little about what they are doing.

I don't really want to be the nasty guy about this, but it sickens me to see such a harmless animal like that Ratsnake you needlessly killed lying there like that at the end of a shovel when it could have been merrily crawling on it's way before you guys went after it.

How about googling some Copperhead pics, Cottonmouth pics, Rattlesnake pics for future reference. It's real easy. Of course your next kill could very well be a Scarlet kingsnake thinking it's a Coral snake though..LOL!
