well i dont think i ever introduced me and my geen iguana in here, i have been discussing my rhino iguana in the cyclura section so i wanted to discuss my green iguana here! my name is cris and i have a 4-5 yo male green iguana named manny, manny cam to me on 12/15/2009 after going through 2-3 owners who couldnt put up with his aggresion but then again i would be mean and cranky too if some one kept me cooped up in a 55 0r 75 gal tank and im a 4' lizard! he was pathetic looking, skinny, had a case of mbd, a bad shed and a burn nea his dorsal spikes! well 6 months later after being given the best food and care he is doing awesome, he recently shed and it went well, he is eating tons of food each day and his jowls are starting to show, his jaw is still a bit crooked from the mbd but that dont stop him, he used to laydown a lot im guesing from him being weak from the mbd, now he sits up all the time and is very alert! still working on the trust but he hasnt bit me yet tail whipped yes lol! he is a very intelligent lizard and i believe if his previous owner had taken the time to care for him propery he wouldnt be so aggresive despite being a male, aftr all i gave him a room to free roam in with him a nice basking spot with a 110watt mvb lamp and his own personal humidifier! he is even potty trained to go on newspaper, its amazing the progress he made and 6 mos. and all it took was giving him what he needed! thanksfor reading my long story lol! here is manny:
