I recently bought a blood python 3 weeks ago, it didn't feed for 3 weeks and finally it just ate a full-grown mouse(June 21 2010), it's amazing since this one is a baby blood and i tried juvenile one but it didn't work out and now it finally chooses a full-grown one ^^

The time i succeed, i changed the substrate (from a piece of newspaper to shredded newspaper) because i read from this forum that some guyz state baby blood pythons usually stay underneath and ambush preys and suggested to feed a stubborn baby on spaghnum moss (but since moss is hard to find at where i am so i changed it to shredded newspaper) and it succeed (thankss..!!)

The question is, i've heard snakes die because of impaction thing, could snakes die because you feed it on shredded paper or spaghnum moss? I worried the snake may ingest the substrate when eating (i didn't look at the snake when it ate since i feed it in darkness)
If some people here suggest to use moss, will the baby bloods die because of impaction? Thank you ^^
