There is a lot of red tape involved in trying to import a turtle from the USA even if you drive and bring it across the border yourself. I think most of the muds and musk that you see in Canada have been smuggled in or captive breed from smuggled parents. I have about 20 musk and muds in my collection and I paid around $100 for each of them. The only thing I can add is that $100 is really not the much when you consider how long they live for, and how entertaining they are.
