Thanks for responding. I have just a very small area left to
remove. His lip looks fine underneath it. He was a rescue and I think was not given a really good diet. As a result, doesn't eat a real wide variety of food. He does love his bird seed and beans but is very picky about consistantly eating his greens, veggies and such. He does really like dandelion greens which are plentiful in summer but only eats them maybe once every couple of days. You mentioned it looks like he was eating mushy foods. Knowing his diet, I don't know what mushy foods he ate

Thanks for the information, I may just use a little antibiotic
cream just to be on the safe side.
