I just got back from a trip to Chile, and I met a herpetologist there who is doing work on Callopistes, the Chilean dwarf tegu.

I don't keep them myself, but I know they can be tricky to keep healthy for many years. He told me that their main prey is smaller lizards -- I don't know if people here realized this, but maybe anoles could be useful for training troublesome feeders.
