HEY,
I have three Halmahera Giant Gecko's (g.Marginata's), I picked up two full grown WC females in early May, brought them to the expo show, had a few lookers but thats all, but I ended up buying a huge Male, 14 inches, from another vendor,Oh!Man! wicked fast !! un-handable, to bad, they are so fascinating, kept in the Large reptile room (65 lizards), day temps can reach upper 80's and drops down to 75-78 at night, their enclosure is 2ft deep x 3ft across x 6ft high, every night their fed crickets/CGD and fresh fruit,I dont dust the crickets, but add calcium to the fresh fruit and CGD.

Male

w/ one of the female (she's 11 in.)

with in the last week, she's getting a bit plump around the mid-section,once ina while I would hear some chirping/clicking sounds from them, but never witnessed any mating, I work with Bearded/Frilled Dragons and about a year ago started with Leopards and Cresties(which are laying eggs now),15 FatTails which will be ready for the next season and I'm working with Cave Gecko's, but I dont have alot of info on Halmahera's.

Do I need to put a large nesting box in there enclosure, like I do with the Leopard and Crestie's? 50/50 Vermiculite-Sand kept damp. The eggs, what temperature?how much variation in the temperature? Humidity?I saw somewhere that it should be DRY?how long is the incubation?.
Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

Joe
