Posted by: boxienuts at Wed Jul 21 07:26:12 2010 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by boxienuts ] Kevin some of what you stated which regards to corns applies, but garters shed immediately after partition (when they are born) so you don't want to wait untill the next shed to start feeding however it's common that they won't eat the first week, sometimes 2-3 weeks and still will do fine. I usually try feeding mine for the first time at day 5-7, if they don't feed I just try them again in 4-5 days and don't fret to much about it, because the more you harrass them the less likely they will feed on their own, patience is your friend.
