I was not wanting to hijack Ryans thread below but wondering how you can hybridize some of the snake eaters. I have a small....full grown (like 6yrs old) but only half inch diameter or so...eating hopper mice Mexican Milk (or milk mix but that is what she keys out to ) I have introduced other similar sized males of different species...Sinaloan (young male) and an eastern milk. She trys to eat them. The poor boy gets only a second to sniff and she has them by the face.
I have thought of hybridizing her. But I have a limited selection of smaller snakes. I have Ratsnakes, but they are monsters (6-7ft). Western Hognose...seems icky and unlikely. (anyone know of hognose hybrids?)
So, when breeding how different size is too different? What do you guys aim for with sizes? Would a bigger boy be less likely to be veiwed as dinner?
I saw someone mention Childrens X Corns and I am sceptical that it could take. But I do have a proven male Childrens....even he is a bit bigger than this milk. I know he is itching to go as I did not breed him this year and he is antsy still.

I was too busy with a new business to raise babies this last year. But now I am getting ideas for next year, pure line and hybrids so I guess I may hang around and learn.
