A 10 gallon is too small, even for a Pyxie that doesn't move much (most of them don't). I would say minimum 20 gallon. 72 degrees I think is too low. You might see slightly more activity and a better feeding response with warmer temps. I use a heat light in the winter, and no heating in the summer (my reptile room stays in the low to mid-80s most of the time. As far as substrate, I really like coconut fiber. It is really cheap, holds moisture really well, and doesn't cause impaction problems.
