I too have a pair of Box Canyon redbacks and I'm hoping the male did his job. I saw him a few times attempting to mate though I don't know if he was ever successful. He is pretty much equally sized as the female which concerns me a little because I don't know if most successful matings are from males that are larger than the females. From your pic, it looks like your male is a bit bigger than your female. Do you know their weights? My female has that pre-ovulation look as shown by Gus in his last post. She weighs more than him now, but I haven't seen any outlines of eggs as of yet. Still hoping. Did you happen to catch your pair mating?
