That's awesome!! I too have a pair of Box Canyon redbacks and I'm hoping the male did his job. I saw him a few times attempting to mate though I don't know if he was ever successful. He is pretty much equally sized as the female which concerns me a little because I don't know if most successful matings are from males that are larger than the females. From your pic, it looks like your male is a bit bigger than your female. Do you know their weights? My female has that pre-ovulation look as shown by Gus in his last post. She weighs more than him now, but I haven't seen any outlines of eggs as of yet. Still hoping. Did you happen to catch your pair mating? If I'm as lucky as you and get some eggs and hopefully babies, we'll have to swap some youngsters.
