I disclocate the cervical vertebra by putting a pencil over the neck of the mouse and tugging firmly and quickly on the tail with the other hand. For rats I bonk the back of its head against a table edge. I don't think I could bring myself to do the extensive dental work recommended in that thread. Ye Gods...I am already phobic about going to the dentist and that would totally ruin my karma! LOL! My snakes will eat a fresh killed still quivering prey. I never feed them a live biter.
