I observed and photographed a female eating a dead baby this year. I also saw her grab a live one and start to eat it as well.

They commonly eat slugs and still borns. I think mostly the females do this but it is possible males will do it too.. The smell of slugs and still borns in a litter might trigger this reaction to eat anything "laying around"
