Pre lay shed

Does a chondro always have a pre lay she prior depositing eggs. I have a gravid chondro that was shedding during her ovulation. Being that she does not shed that often will she definitely go through another shed cycle prior to this lay? She looks like she is going to burst and she isnt even opaque yet.
