hey all

i live in costa rica and on one of my properties i have a small population of red-eyed treefrogs. last week on a neighboring property, i found a glob of red-eyed eggs on a palm frond hanging just above a water tank. the problem is that the tank had a shade-cloth roof, so when the eggs would hatch and fall, the tadpoles would land on the shade-cloth and die.

so i cut the palm frond and took the glob of eggs home. now after 6 days, they've hatched and are swimming happily in a tank of shallow water.

i want to raise the tadpoles to the frog stage and release them all on my rain forest property. trouble is that i know of no source of commercial tadpole food here in costa rica. does anyone know how i can make tadpole food for them?

all help is greatly appreciated.

thanks,
mike
