The lowest recorded temperature for Sydney over that same time period is 32 F. At the very southern end of the Diamond pythons range on the border with Victoria, average winter night-time lows are in the upper 30's and in the mid 60's for daily winter highs. These are temp averages in the lower altitude areas from where these pythons live. These are true temperate climate snakes that can tolerate very low temperatures, much more so than any other python species.
