We are hoping to get some opinions about these baby Granites we recently hatched. Of all of the baby Granites we have hatched over the years, as well as the ones we have seen in the wild, we have never come across any with this coloration. As you can see from the pictures the 'Anery' babies are lacking all red pigmentation. They are the result of an accidental breeding between brother and sister, suggesting this may be a simple recessive trait if it proves to be genetic. Obviously not the most distinct/ impressive morph for this locale to produce, but time will tell how their coloration will differ through to maturity.
*A side note- As younger animals most Granites have some orange bands or flecking which usually tends to fades with age. Notice the amount of orange pigment on the normal hatchling.
