I have a group of hatchling Diamondback Terrapins that I would like to eventually release back into the wild. In order to keep them used to the natural flow of seasonal changes in their natural enviroment I was thinking about hibernating them this winter. My question is, is it safe to do, and what's a safe way to do it? Also, if it's not important for future breeding then I may not even bother. Thanks for your help!
