For one thing, they really seem to prefer smaller food items. Mine always went for small hopper mice, or even fuzzies, maybe two or three every five days. Anything bigger than that they would invariably regurgitate, or ignore altogether. My testaceus are a different story, my largest male eats five to six frozen quail a week, the smaller girl eats about three a week.
