Nighttime temperatures in the 60s is fine for crested geckos, though consistent cool nights act as 'cooling', which will stop egg production in mature females and gear them up for breeding season. Its a good resting phase for adults, especially egg bearing females (note that crested gecko females can lay eggs once mature even if no male is present (eggs will of course be infertile). As long as the day time temps are in the 70's or more, temperatures at night in the 60s is fine.



Thus there really isn't any need for nighttime heat unless temperatures get below 60F or more. Or daytime temps. However if you want to set up flexwatt to ensure temps don't get below 60F at night, make sure its connected to a good quality thermostat so the temps at night don't get too high. You want nights to cool off and flexwatt, if not regulated can heat up a crested gecko cage too much.
