Hello, Mussuranas are very easy to raise once they begin to take mice.
Alternatively, they can be easily raised on small F/T snakes/lizards and they will change naturally to take mice as they grow.
WC adults with which I begun breeding them well over 20 years ago took mice, no problem.I did have one female that never took mice, but that was the exception.
A single snake would tackle 5 live mice pressing them against the walls or throwing loops around them, while biting one.Obviously well adapted to hunt rodents in caves!

At this time, I dont really care if they take snakes only, the main target is to get them to grow.
They will eventually take mice, its natural give enough time.
Usually, if you offer them repeatedly, it will take zero to 4 months.

Mussuranas will never bite, I used to offer food with my bare hands, although I wouldnt advise doing it, just in case.

So go ahead, you will be happy with your decission!

David
